• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

... Whoops, I forgot it was until the user's next action. I'll just go fix that now.

I agree that making weather allowable anywhere is a bit odd flavour-wise, but it's much more of a headache to specify that they're allowed in all your challenges (since weather is very rarely banned).

Yeah, I swear I recall the fireball thing happening, too, so I guess it wasn't exactly a rule that was enforced very much. (... does it say that? I'll go edit it)

I'm happier with 1.25x/0.8x instead of a flat boost. Flat boosts in general are kinda weird, since it can make like idk Bind or something suddenly do double damage, and depending on where you apply the flat boost you can get different answers depending on whatever multipliers you have on top. I...

I'd prefer the 1.3x bp and 0.9x accuracy. With the other option, sure, average damage is 1.2x, but when things hit they hit /hard/, but they don't hit as often as you'd expect, which makes things pretty hairy for both sides.

You could also don some Choice Specs (way cooler than a Choice Band, anyway) and keep using Electroweb. Bury your opponent in masses of electrified silk! They'll be too busy convulsing to escape.

What if you're holding a Choice Band while Bug Biting away? /Think of the possibilities!/ The damage is staggering!

Ah, whoops, I seem to have missed that. I'd support lowering the EXP requirement to 2 or 3, since the Shellder option would require either a double battle (which are difficult to get refs for) or a pre-arranged battle, which isn't that bad but is slightly restrictive? Actually, I'd support...

I think having Trick Room reverse command order is a nice effect, so I would like to keep that. I'm... surprised that the duration is set so that happens, though. Since it's a fairly minor fix I'll go ahead and change that to 9 actions, same as the weather moves. It's a bit long, but better that...

I do quite like this suggestion, although if they're made more equal this way I think their costs should also be made equal. Anyway, I wanted to bring up Super Fang. As of right now it seems that the damage is affected by caps, and the energy is calculated from the final damage. I think the...

Also eventually you'll be able to change the banner a la style switcher or something, so. I vote Joltik btw

I dunno, all the stones only boost one type and having Moon Stone work with two is. Well, it's supported flavour-wise, but flavour is ultimately not what we base decisions on, and I think consistency and simplicity is more important. So I'd be inclined to have Moon Stone stay the way it is.

I do agree that a lot of things are fuzzy in the text but there are precedents in battle and that's. Really messy and difficult to keep track of. I believe we'll be editing moves and stuff on the database to be more specific soon! Zhorken is working on making a visible log of changes to moves...

Except a) restricts you to siphoning EXP to only one Pokemon, so if it's more than a 1v1 then you're going to have to send out something else you want to get EXP on. With b) you can just send out all the buff Pokemon ever. It's a one-time investment? I mean if the price is a problem we can...

    Suggestion Box

I'd prefer a). b) would probably encourage the use of purely super-buff large-movepool Pokemon more. Also I'd prefer to keep the amount of EXP juggling possible limited (again, to avoid having buff Pokemon farm all the EXP to feed to tiny unevolved ones). I don't see the use of the item slot as...

Wait, wasn't that not-a-thing before the shutdown happened? iirc Negrek said that that usually ended up punishing the wrong people (ie. people who just forgot but were eager to play again). Not to mention they already forfeit their monetary prizes, so uh.
